Even though in-person theatre and dance are back in full swing, in the name of accessibility we're continuing to round up performances to watch online from the comfort of home. Our curated list spotlights the five best options to stream this Fourth of July weekend, Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 6, for free or at low cost.

NBC: Macy's 4th of July Fireworks

Airing on NBC on Friday, July 4 at 8 p.m. for FREE.

West Side Story Oscar winner and stage favorite Ariana DeBose hosts Macy's iconic 4th of July fireworks spectacular. Watch eye-popping sparklers along with explosive performances from Broadway vets Keke Palmer and the Jonas Brothers along with country and pop stars.

Bandstand on Broadway

Streaming for FREE.

Celebrate our country's independence by watching Bandstand, a profoundly moving and sadly underrated musical starring Laura Ones and Corey Cott about World War II vets trying to win a music contest while grappling with PTSD. Richard Oberacker and Rob Taylor's uplifting, jazzy score is juxtaposed against a serious exploration of what soldiers go through.

Kiss Me, Kate Starring Ben Davis and Alexandra Silber

Streaming for FREE.

Broadway vets Ben Davis (Les Misérables, A Little Night Music), Alexandra Silber (Fiddler on the Roof) and Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck (On the Town) headline this 2014 concert staging of the classic Kiss, Me Kate, about the drama-filled relationships of two sets of lovers as they mount a musical version of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. Recorded live onstage at London's Royal Albert Hall, the show features glorious Cole Porter songs, including "Too Darn Hot," So In Love," "Always True to You In My Fashion" and "Brush Up Your Shakespeare."

The Gathering: A Journey to Grace

Last year for one powerful night, legendary Black artists came together for The Gathering: A Collective Sonic Ring Shout. Produced by the National Black Theatre and The Apollo and performed at The Kennedy Center, this musical meditation on our country's fraught past and present featured performances by Nona Hendryx, Toshi Reagon, Carlos Simon and Joel Thompson. This hourlong documentary shares a behind-the-scenes peek at how this call for justice, joy and collective healing was created.

Into the Woods with Bernadette Peters

Revisit Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's fractured fairy-tale classic Into the Woods over the holiday weekend. This American Playhouse recording features most of the original Broadway cast, including Bernadette Peters as the Witch and Joanna Gleason as the Baker's Wife, who won a Tony for her fabulous turn.
